Location and Region
Not affiliated with one specific tribe, the Indian Action Council center is centrally located within Humboldt County in Eureka, California. In addition to our center we work closely with local school districts to provide school-based tutoring programs for American Indian students in need. Humboldt County's American Indian population is significantly higher than the state of California Average. For many students, Indian Action Council is their only source of tutoring, academic support services and cultural validation that is very often missing in the classroom.
